Enjoy the experience, follow the safety briefing, treat the equipment with care, and return it on time, clean and in good condition. A security deposit is required upfront and will be fully refunded after successful inspection. These Terms & Conditions exist to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for everyone.
1. Rental Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all rentals provided by La Marca Marine, including but not limited to Seabob, SipaBoard, Sublue VAPOR and other water sports equipment.
2. Rental Period
- The rental period starts and ends at the times agreed at handover (typically 24h, other arrangements possible subject to agreement).
- Late returns may incur additional charges.
- Extensions are subject to availability and must be agreed in advance.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Rental fees are payable in full prior to or at the start of the rental period.
- Prices are exclusive of delivery unless otherwise stated.
- All prices are subject to availability and confirmation.
4. Security Deposit
- A security deposit is required upfront before equipment handover.
- The deposit will be refunded after the equipment is returned, following a positive inspection confirming:
- No damage
- No excessive dirt or misuse
- Equipment has been rinsed with fresh water after use
- No rubbish, sand, debris, or foreign objects accumulated (e.g. in engines, intakes, connectors or housings)
La Marca Marine reserves the right to partially or fully retain the deposit to cover cleaning, repairs, replacement, or loss.
5. Equipment Use & Responsibilities
The renter agrees to:
- Use the equipment responsibly and strictly in accordance with instructions provided
- Follow all safety briefings and operational guidelines
- Ensure only competent swimmers operate powered equipment
- Wear safety gear as instructed
The equipment must not be used:
- In restricted or prohibited waters
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- In unsafe weather or sea conditions
- Beyond manufacturer limits or recommendations
- By minors unless explicitly agreed and supervised
6. Condition, Damage & Loss
- The renter is fully responsible for the equipment during the rental period.
- Any damage, loss, theft, or excessive wear caused by misuse or negligence will be charged at repair or replacement cost.
- Normal wear and tear is excluded.
7. Cleaning & Return Condition
All equipment must be returned:
- Clean
- Rinsed with fresh water
- Free of rubbish, sand, salt buildup, and debris
- With all accessories and components intact
Additional cleaning fees may apply if equipment is returned in poor condition.
8. Insurance & Liability
- Rental fees do not include personal accident, medical, or third-party liability insurance, unless explicitly stated.
- The renter participates at their own risk.
- A liability waiver must be signed prior to rental.
La Marca Marine shall not be held liable for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during use.
9. Weather & Safety Conditions
- La Marca Marine reserves the right to reschedule or cancel rentals due to unsafe weather or sea conditions.
- No refunds will be issued once equipment has been handed over, unless otherwise agreed.
10. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made in advance.
- Once confirmed, bookings may be rescheduled once subject to availability.
- No-shows may result in forfeiture of rental fees.
11. Vouchers, Trials & Promotional Rentals
- Vouchers and promotional rentals are:
- Non-transferable
- Non-exchangeable for cash
- Valid only within the stated validity period
- Subject to availability
- Expired vouchers are void.
- Trial and promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions.
12. Amendments
La Marca Marine reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on the official website shall apply.
